This is one of the best things I have seen in a while. I discovered this project study on Paperlux’s Behance portfolio. Be sure to check out more of their work here. The level of planning and detail is incredible. I want to get my hands on a copy of this issue right away.

Syntacks :: Blue Sunshine

Wonderful visuals on Syntaks’ video for “Blue Sunshine”. The tones and overlaying of textures create such a beautiful mood. Check out more of the Ghostly videos on their Vimeo page here.

Headphone Session ::
The Field + Clint Stewart Sampa

Narrow Arroe Headphone Session

The Field :: Is This Power
The Field :: Yesterday and Today
Alland Byallo :: She Dines On My Eyes (Clint Stewart Sampa Remix)

I love jamming out to these repetitive beats while working. The change in sounds are so gradual, it makes it really easy to get lost in. The first track is a recent release off of The Field’s new album, Looping State of Mind. I’m not sure who the last guy is…Clint Stewart Sampa. Not even sure where I downloaded this from, but discovered it in my Downloads folder earlier today and figured it would go right along with The Field. Right-click to download any of these mp3s.

Alexa Meade :: A Twist in Realism

A co-worker shared this link with me yesterday and I was blown away. Really amazing concept and execution.

Alexa Meade is a 24-year-old artist whose work lies at the intersection of painting, photography, performance, and installation.

Rather than creating representational paintings on a flat canvas, Alexa Meade creates her representational paintings directly on top of the physical subjects that she is referencing. When photographed, the representational painting and the subject being referenced appear to be one and the same as the 3D space of her painted scenes becomes optically compressed into a 2D plane.
